It's a very serious matter that troubles and saddens me deeply. However, I wonder if there's more to it! Lady Sower~

I believe it is serious also. Why would he compromise the Gospel? Is it his age or an illness. Several years ago I had the privilege in meeting Mr. Graham when he was in a Rochester Minnesota hospital for brain surgery. My uncle was there at the same time for cancer and we walked past his room and because we stopped at his door he invited us in. The nurse asked us to leave but he insisted we stay. Even in his time of trouble he asked what our situation was for being in the hospital. We then all three prayed together for my uncle and for Mr. Graham. It was all really remarkable. So I too have sadness in my heart for personal reasons.

Looks like poor Billy's flipped his lid. I wonder if he'll use the same excuse this time that he did when his anti semetic comments came to light a few years back.

Allyn, that really was remarkable. Thanks for sharing it! We need to add him to the prayer list! Lady Sower~

There are many bios around on the internet concerning the history of Billy's ministry. Back in the 40's he started out as a staunch defender of the faith and opposed Catholicism strongly. However like many other Evangelicals who have an audience with the Pope, he too came away with a new ecumenical view of the way of salvation. This is not a mere recent development which dementia could explain, rather it is a long term embracing of heresy that he has been willing exposed to and to which he has been subverted.

What becomes of those billions who have died and those who WILL die but who never got to know the Way to Life Jesus Christ? Will they never be given a chance through resurrection to put faith in him?
Could this be what Graham was getting at? I don't know. I am just exploring possibilities for his saying what he did.
