Hello there...I'm a long time student of the bible and am looking forward to some good open minded discussions. I actually was raised in a not so mainstream christian faith, leaving it when my personal studies progressed. My study of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel and related prophecies started gelling soon after that, as I felt free to plug in a more pragmatic meaning that led to 70AD. I found out much later that the idea of 'past fulfillment' was actually called preterism.
As I researched preterism, eager to find others with this same understanding, I found a lot of divisions and cliques...a lot of teachings that I simply could not, and cannot, agree with.
But, I want to exchange thoughts and learn from others. I bring a wildly 'clean slate' perspective here...I didn't learn this from a book or commentary munging. My viewpoint will be different to be sure, but I enjoy respectful dialog. For example, I view the millennium as truly 1000yrs, and it fits.
