Allyn,
On some discussion boards a window will appear on the monitor as you login indicating that you have a message. I like that. I have trained myself now to look at the top of the page to see if I have a message. But sometimes I forget and the window is right in the face so you can't miss it.

I have that option and you can click on Preferences in your PM section and choose a way to be notified.

Cool! I just turned on the pop-up notification. I've actually gone a couple of days sometimes without noticing that I had a new PM. The pop-up will help immensely.

Allyn, The notification window does not appear now for some reason. Roo PM me using the regular way instead of the PM Yourself way. I think that may be the reason in that the code I put in place may be doing an end run around the way the PM service is meant to work.
