I don't know. Maybe this will sound like a dumb question but what was the sin that Jesus was sinless from? I mean since Jesus was born of a woman and since He was a man of flesh and bones then how is it that Jesus was sinless? Did He not covet that toy his playmate had? Did He not sin when he failed to tell His parents He was going to stay back and chat a while with the elders?
I hope you get where I am going. I believe Jesus was sinless in the eyes of God so then what sin was He sinless from? If we can answer that then maybe we can better understand sin in our own lives.

Jesus never listened to anyone but the Father, therefore He never disobeyed. Sin came about because Eve listened to and engaged with the devil's attempt to get her to add to what God had said, showing it was her own idea that had kept her from disobedience. Jesus didn't do this with the word of God as seen in Mat 4 when He confronted the devil with 'it is written'.

This may be dumb as well, but isn't this "sin nature" thing taken a little too far?
I thought (or have now arrived at) that sin is disobedience to God. Plain and simple...Jesus never disobeyed God and hence was the perfect sinless sacrifice. This sin nature being achieved through DNA just doesn't fly with me anymore...

Much like what Ted just said, the 'sin nature' is simply our will over God's. As Jesus said in each of His "Lord's Prayers", His life was to do the will of the Father and not His own.
Luke 11:2 "So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven".
John 5:30 "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me".
Luke 22:42 "saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done”."
And Matthew 26:39, Matthew 26:42, Mark 14:36
Thus Jesus Himself says in Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven".
And Matthew 12:50, "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother".
"Sin" is our will trumping God's. Jesus never did this.
