I don't remember who recommend this book but I'm glad I got it. The authors are Steven & Debra Wallace, of SW Colorado. Their's is a unique position: the value/use of scripture ended at 70. They use Jer 31 and Heb 8 & 10 to show that the new covenant is written of hearts -- no paper needed. At first I thought they might be a King-type universalist, but later they speak of the individual's right to refuse Jesus.
Do any of you know of this couple?

I do believe God has written His word on our hearts. Its just that it takes the KEY of the Word of God to unlock those things. Discernment is a quality God wants us to have and we are to listen to the right spirits by testing them. But I do relate to the fact that God has written on our heart. My daughter is an example where on occasion she has said almost verbatum something from the Bible but has never herself ever read it there or from any book. This has happened more than once. She also has made mistakes in some of her thinking and so she is perfectly human. This is just a father talking here.

Never heard of the book nor the authors before, Dan. However, I looked it up on Amazon and was delighted to see that it comes in a Kindle edition, so I bought it! Thanks for the recommendation!

They are also anti-congregational organization, claiming that since NT elders/deacons possessed HS powers and were appointed by inspired leaders there is no way to duplicate such since HS powers ended in 1st century. They offer no view of how a Christian (if there is such) live in the New Jerusalem other than having the New Covenant written upon their hearts. STRANGE.

From pg 88: <quote> There is no great commission that applies to us today that applied to those in that unique period of spiritual history transiting from the old law to the new law; from the old covenant to the new covenant; and from the old heaven and earth to the new heaven and earth. There is no scriptural authority for the inferior "church club" instgitutional model led by "uninspired" and "ungifted" men who are appointed or approved by "unihspired" and "ungifted" men in a post 70 world. There is no scriptural basis for their rules of membership, order of worship, plan of salvatgion, or missionaryt work. Divine intgervention in the affairs of men ended when God's ultimate mission toi restore His sovereign authority was achieved in 70. No divine healers, exorcists, preachers, pastors, elders, or deacons are operating with scriptural authority in this day and age." <close quote> Sorry for the typos. I hate typing on a laptop!!!

Interesting. I hope they provide scriptural support for those assertions. Otherwise it's just them talking.

I can agree with what they said about the "great commission." That commission as written in Matthew 28 and Mark 16 was only for the apostles. But I can't agree with all the rest. The body of Christ, which is the church, did not come to an end in 70AD. Divine intervention also did not come to an end in 70 AD either, otherwise, how are people being saved today, and inheriting eternal life. The scriptures says, "when the perfect comes, that which is in part will done away." But, God is perfect, so He wasn't done away. Jesus is perfect, so He wasn't done away. The church is full of imperfect people, but the church is perected through Christ, so the church wasn't done away. And the church is still bound by the rules as delivered by the apostles. The church is still under the authority of Christ. Since Christ is eternal, so is the church, which is His body. Do these people have website? Modified to add: I found their website: theendtimeshoax.com/
