Hey Folks, My family has been donating shoe box gifts to Operation Christmas Child for many years. It brings joy to us as well as the children. This Sunday is the dead line so there is still time to get a shoe box of good stuff to any church that is collecting them or to your near by Chick-Fil-A. Wal Mart is the place to go if you're pinching pennies. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwPosn0ARbcblessings, Roo

Our church has been involved with this for several years now. Great ministry, not only to the kids but to the parents as well.

Our church has been participating for several years, too. A woman at our church is the collection point for our whole area. When she has gathered all the boxes from all the local churches who participate, she takes them to a collection point in Tucson (another church, I think).

Wal Mart is the place to go if you're pinching pennies. I know a few folks who find items for their shoeboxes at the dollar stores, too.

Amen! Do the Chick-Fil-A restaurants in your area collect the boxes? Roo Up until this sentence I didn't even know that Chick-Fil-A was a restaurant. (Don't forget, I'm up in Canada! We have Snow-Co-Own!)

Roo Actually we don't have any snow yet where I am but I have to keep up the stereotype you know. Btw, if anybody didn't catch it, "Snow-Co-Own" was an attempt at a joke (i.e. 'snow-cone', as opposed to 'chick fillet'). You may groan now.

I've never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A because I don't like fast food chicken. But somehow when driving past Chick-Fil-A stores in Tucson, I kept seeing the sign wrong. For the longest time I thought the place was pronounced "Chick-a-Fill-a." No wonder I thought it was a stupid name.
