I got 15! Did anyone read the original survey questions? It was interesting that depending on if one was black or non-black certain questions were different concerning religion. Also certain answers were in the expected answers but were not to be offered as choices.
I now tell these surveyors that I don't give out any personal information over the phone to anybody - even if so called 'anonymous'. That will take you off their lists!
And for callers asking for donations for 'good causes', I simply say I never make commitments over the phone. But if they have info to send me, I will consider it then.
Course some will still hound you. The California Firefighters Assn. got me recently, thinking they were actually doing something for families of firefighters. But their literature states they are just an info bureau that puts out pamphlets & such of available services. Like who needs to pay for that?
