I was asked what doctrinal abuse is committed by those who read Revelation as being yet future.
The first one that comes to mind is that they deny redemption came to Israel in the 1st coming.
And the 2nd one is what the 1st one comes from which is their failure to distinguish who was the elect remnant of Israel that received the promise, and by that confusion fails to realize that all Israel was not included in that group.
3rd would be their failure to understand the judgment that came upon Israel because of the wickedness of her leaders who rejected Christ.
So with just these 3, I see them turning the gospel on its head concerning the hope we have in Christ. Does anyone have anything else to add?

That pretty well covers it for me, Robin. What was the reaction of the one who asked the question?

The mods jumped on me before I could give an answer. I was addressing using the false prophecies in the Koran as support for their antichrist views as being not a good place to find light for scripture - any more than we ought to look to the book of Mormon or the Tamud to find doctrine (which is propably the comment that did me in). That article was a double post which the mod claimed not to see. Apparently even discussing false prophecies is seen as accusing someone of being a false prophet. I didn't throw that stone but apparently it hit nonetheless!

Its amazing to me how protective whole discussion boards are getting in even the most diverse sections of their boards such as endtimes discussions.
