Greetings new friends,
My favorite animal is the kangaroo and my first name is Jack. I am married and have a daughter in college. My wife and I lost our first three babies so the one child we have is a special blessing to us.
I have been a Full Preterist for about 7 years now. My journey from Futurism to Full Preterism took about 20 years. I am a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago which is a strong gospel preaching institution. I earned the three year diploma and graduated a Dispensationalist. Later I made a shift to Historical Premillennialism yet remained a committed Futurist just not as extreme.
About three years after I graduated from Moody I finished school and acquired my degree at the Bethany Bible College. By this time I had started questioning Futurism and I found myself aligned with the Partial Preterist position though I did not know that my beliefs were called Partial Preterism.
Then I attended the Chesapeake Theological Seminary of Maryland and earned several post graduate credits. I dropped out due to our finances. Later when I inquired about enrolling again I learned that Chesapeake Seminary had dissolved. I was concerned about the credits I earned and so I made inquiry about it and found out that all student credits from Chesapeake had been transferred into the Reformed Theological Seminary of Tennessee. But I never went back to school.
After acquiring my degree at Bethany and during my studies at Chesapeake I came to have major issues with futurism. I studied and researched during this period and beyond until I finally came over to my Full Preterist conviction which was seven years ago.
My wife Eileen and I both attend and serve at a Reformed church which is a member of the Presbyterian Churches of America. The PCA is committed to the Westminster Confession and the creeds. It is Partial Preterist enough that I can live with it and my wife and I are happy there. But for the sake of unity I censor myself regarding my Full Preterist beliefs.
Eileen and I met at the Moody Bible Institute so she was once a Dispensationalist too. She now sees that Dispensationalism is not biblical though she does not know what to do with Full Preterism. She might call herself a Partial Preterist if I asked her but I do not care to ask her because I am happy with the way things are.
My daughter Rebecca is a Full Preterist and attends the Grace Bible College in Winona Lake Indiana which is a staunch Dispensationalist school. Her fiance Nathan who she met at Grace is a Dispensationalist but they love each other and accept each other. Rebecca's fiance Nathan has a deep commitment and love for Christ. A father could not ask for anything more for his daughter. And I am confident that I will be giving Rebecca away to the man of God's choosing.
