The following is an article I wrote on another site over a year ago. That site was not a preterist site. I introduced preterism on that site for the very first time. Most on that site were futurists. You can imagine the response I got from some. I thought that at least some of this might be appropriate for today, here
And thank you for your time. BTW, the arguement is still raging on that site. I found one partial preterist among the membership. He is still battling the lies of the futurists. And I started it all. But, maybe if one or two changed their minds, maybe it was worth it.

Imagine if you will, the coming of Jesus didn't happen in 70AD. But, it happened today. What would he think about us? How would He judge us? If not for the grace of God, we'd all be in a lot of trouble. I mean, look at us. Not calmly discussing our differences, but with name calling, insinuations, self-righteous judgements, and who knows what else. Not very good behaviour for people who are supposedly embodied by the same Holy Spirit. And, by the way, I do include myself in this, for I am guilty of insinuating that some people are idiots. So, I am just as guilty. This is improper behaviour for people bought by the same blood of Christ. Had I knew this would happen I would gave serious thought to introducing Preterism to these forums. Well, I am sorry. I hope you'll all forgive me, as this whole mess is my fault.
A heretic is someone who causes division. It appears that I have accomplished this at least on this website. So, to this I plead guilty. And, if this has had any effect beyond this website, I might be guilty of more.
I don't like being considered a heretic. I disagreed with it at first. But, I've been told by some people off these forums that they haven't seen anything like this before. One even added, "it's not like you caused it. LOL" They meant it as a joke. But, I got to thinking, what if I did cause it?
I Corinthians 1:10 states, "Now I plead with you, my brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement."
Now I realize, this hasn't happened for centuries, almost 2 millenia. But, what about the person who aids in division. The Apostle Paul took a very dim view of them. Romans 16:17&18 states, "Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple."
So, you see, Paul did not think very highly of those who cause division. So, I got to thinking; What would Paul tell me? He'd probably tell me to repent, and I have. He'd probably tell me to confess my sins to others. So, I am doing that. And since it was in these forums that the transgression occured, this is the proper venue for that confession.
Thank you for your time.
