What shall we think of this? I don't believe it (at least not the way he puts it) and looking at this guys blogsite ( halturnershow.blogspot.com/ ) I have determined him to be a fruitcake. Nonetheless, I believe there is some truth in what he is saying and so this is where my question lies. What shall we think of this?

When the Shah of Iran was deposed - what 25+/- years ago? It happened to those Persians who had their money in the French banks, and they didn't get a penny of it back.
Personally I think the guy is just another conspiracy kook. What I want to know is where did HE get that coin? Which he never did get in focus...

This Wikipedia article about Hal Turner (the guy in the video) is quite enlightening. Here's the introduction: ------------- Harold "Hal" Turner is an American white nationalist and white supremacist from North Bergen, New Jersey. He ran his program, The Hal Turner Show, as a webcast from his home once a week and depended on donations by his listeners. He quit the show in July 2008 for good. In August his website also closed down though he retains a blog. Turner has often made news for his extreme right-wing views. He promotes antisemitism (including rounding up and killing Jews)[1] and opposes the existence of the state of Israel.[2] He also denies the Holocaust.[3] In 2005, Turner organized what he billed as a "rally against violence" after a white student was beaten by a black student at a high school. In 2006, he got in a fight with Jaime Vazquez, a former Jersey City deputy mayor, after Vazquez called him a racist coward. Turner has made numerous threats against political figures on his website and in other forums. ------------- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Turner

I first heard about him from a newsletter I received (cancelled) from Preterist Info. When I watched the video and looked up some things on turner and found some of what you said Once4all, I emailed Preterist info saying I hoped that the info site was not racist and supporting Turners views. The webmaster said that they were ovelooking the guys history and just passing along newsworthy information. You have provided more than enough to prove to me that I should delete this thread. I'll give it a couple odays so others can read this notice.

No doubt the guy's a wacko, though there might be a small kernel of truth in some of what he says. A lot of conspiracy theories start with something small and possibly true, but then snowball into some pretty outrageous stuff. One thing that struck me about what this guy was encouraging people to do (move their money into foreign banks and have it converted to foreign currency)... if everybody actually did that, it would CAUSE the economic devastation he's supposedly warning about. I think that's called a self-fulfilling prophecy.
