These instructions are buried here in a thread somewhere - but I keep forgetting where it is.
To make a url show custom text instead of the url path:
Like this:
Live By Truth
Instead of this:
livebytr.proboards.com/index.cgi?
Copy the tags from the world symbol in the editor and type an " = " sign after the first " url= " before the closing bracket. Then paste the url address between the ' = ' sign and the closing bracket ' ] '. Now type your text as you want it to appear before the closing tag " /url " which is enclosed in brackets.
Here is the format but omit the spaces except in the custom text and replace the "( )" with " [ ]"
(url=paste url here) custom text here (/url)
Keep in mind that on other boards a different code system is used and the tags may not be the same as are used here. Perhaps Allyn will explain the difference.
