Here is a 3 minute video ( biologos.org/blog/on-genesis-2-and-3) where Mr. Wright discusses such things as: " any Jew from the period of the Babylonian exile to the life of Jesus reading the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden—and their ultimate expulsion after violating the terms of their covenant with God—would have identified with the story on a deep level. These readers would have thought “this is our story” because Israel had repeated this experience." " Readers of Genesis who focus simply on the smaller, literal picture—that is, the number of days of creation and whether there is evidence in the text pointing to an old or new earth—are in effect not reading the complete text." Enjoy!

I liked it because N.T. Wright is a favorite theologian of many who are opposed to this view. PaulT likes N.T. Wright too... My video stopped working at the 2:05 mark of that Jewish video...

And 2:05 minutes was God's mercy on you! Then you didn't have to hear that by keeping Torah perfectly self-seeking sin can be overcome and eternal life gained for when Messiah comes and makes the whole world like the garden of Eden once again.
Edit: I can see that NT Wright might find the kabbalist ideas noteworthy too, if the giving of Torah was another chance to get it right!
