Thanks, folks!
I'm an email friend of Ted (mellontes). I actually 'meet' him through the CARM forums which I am no longer a part of since the re-set in December. Anyway, we live fairly close and have remained in contact.
He has shown me a lot of truth in scripture even though we don't agree on some things.

In another few months we hope to alleviate you of those disagreements! He has raised some interesting questions about the blood of Christ and sin in general. I hope he will put forth some of those questions to this forum as well. I don't know everything, but, I think that by May 9, 2010, I will. However, I will be leaving public life on May 8th of that year for precautionary measures... It was Mr. Morris who alerted me to the birthday thread in my honour...

Hey Ted, What is going on. Are you at liberty to say? Huh? I am sorry Allyn; I have no clue what you mean. You lost me as well. What did you mean then when you said: I don't know everything, but, I think that by May 9, 2010, I will. However, I will be leaving public life on May 8th of that year for precautionary measures...

Welcome, Morris! It's nice to have you here with us.
Ted, I was also confused by your statement that Allyn quoted above.

I apologize for the confusion folks.
Let me clarify...
If, at any time, you are puzzled or confused by anything I say, then I strongly urge for you to look for humor - unless we are discussing some serious Scriptural matter.
I was attempting to be funny, but it looks like it failed miserably. I made a deliberate arrogant statement:
"I don't know everything, but, I think that by May 9, 2010, I will."
Because it was an obvious arrogant and impossible statement on my part, I tried to follow-up with some humor by saying:
"I will be leaving public life on May 8th of that year for precautionary measures."
The reason I said that was because it was indisputable that I would NOT know everything by May 9, 2010. By leaving the public sphere, I would save myself the embarrassment of all the nay-sayers that would gladly come forth and say "I told you so!" with all the appropriate emoticons attached...
But, like I said, it failed miserably, and may have led some of the more mature and serious folks to believe that I had received news from the doctor that my life might actually end by May 9th of this year - at least that is how I interpreted the response question. You were trying to be discreet and polite at the same time, while I, on the other hand, was just trying to be funny.
Welcome to my brain and the 15 remaining cells...

That's a relief, Ted!
Actually, I thought that perhaps you where leaving all forums and such! I see the humour now, but that was still a "oh my" moment.

Yes, a relief. Thanks for clearing that up! I did consider that it might be a joke, but was afraid to handle it as such on the possibility that it wasn't!

From Happy birthday, to "humor," to sickness or death, to apology, and finally to relief.
"Only in Canada, you say...pity."

Last night was a turning point for him. He came to the study with futurist ammunition concerning the bodily resurrection of the saint and left the study saying that he would need to retink his entire view on the resurrection and all things fulfilled. I gave him one more written proof that brought the scriptures together in harmony and told him that it was now for him to accept it or reject it. He said that he wants to believe what I have shown him because it makes biblical sense but he is struggling inside over what he was taught and what he now knows. I told him it is never easy except to just let go and totlally rely on the fact that God cannot lie. I truly believe it is just a matter of time now.

I am curious as to what proofs you used to prove a non-bodily resurrection...Hi Ted, When I presented my final proof to my friend concerning the resurrection of the dead I did not attempt to directly prove that the resurrection of the saints was a grave emptying event but instead I presented to him the facts concerning the timing of the resurrection. In doing so the timing, without question, dealt fundamentally with the mode of the resurrection. My presentation tied together the loose ends of our previous discussions. I began by first demonstrating from Revelation 11 that Mystery Babylon identifies Jerusalem as the city which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. In the context of Rev. 11 it places the fall of Babylon at the same time of the sounding of the last trumpet which is also the time of the coming of the Kingdom and the resurrection of the dead. “Then the seventh angel sounded: and there were voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’…The nations were angry, and your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that you should reward your servants the prophets and the saints, and who fear your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.” (Rev. 11:15–18) The sounding of the last trump of Rev. 11:15 corresponds to the time of the resurrection, as per verse 18. That makes the event parallel to the last trump of 1 Corinthians 15, which also is the great resurrection chapter of the New Testament. Since the identity of Mystery Babylon is Jerusalem and its focus the destruction of the city, (Rev. 11:2), then we have an inseparable link between the fall of Babylon (Jerusalem) in A.D. 70 and the resurrection of the dead. The key point is that Jesus said this event would take place before that first century generation passed, Matt. 24:34. This confirms the historical context of Mystery Babylon or Jerusalem, which fell in connection with the overthrow of the temple. See Matthew 24:3, Luke 21:20-24; Rev. 11:2. I left my friend by telling him that with the evidence I had presented him then there would be no biblical way for him to maintain not only a bodily resurrection of the saints but also a future resurrection. I warned him that hanging on to his previous understandings would only prove to delay the fact that he was destined to believe the full-preterist position, and once he did come to the right conclusion then he should also be prepared to take the consequences, as a pastor, of his paradigm shift

I am glad you are back. brother Thanks so much, Allyn! I feel like I'm 'back' every Monday though as I don't have internet at home currently. So if it feels like I'm gone every weekend, I am, but not by choice.
