Howdy folks. My background is with the Church of Christ, and I've been studying the Bible for about 10 years now. Up until now, I think people would probably classify me as a "partial-preterist," if that helps.
I've recently decided to study the book of Revelation, which naturally got me to rethink a number of other passages in the NT. So I am currently in the process of having to go back over things I have previously believed, and try to sort it all out.
Now see, this is why I need to stop studying the Bible. It seems every time I study something, I wind up with even more questions than before!

Welcome to Preterist Voice, theophilus! NEVER stop studying the Bible! I'm glad you've joined us. My background is CoC, too. There are a few of us here.

I was just being a little facetious. There have been several occasions upon studying the Bible where I've thought: "That's not what I believe; that's not what I was taught! Aw c'mon God, how do you expect me to teach/preach this?! They'll drag me out into the church parking lot and stone me!" Fortunately, I haven't been stoned yet.

What state do you live in, theo? I would guess from your "Howdy" that you're in a western state.

I was in Spartanburg for a few years - took a little getting used to being a Yankee, but it was a great place.

Welcome to the Board Theo, I believe the more you study that it will only be a matter of time before the partial is replaced by full. I really believe a lot of folks that come out of futurism to preterism, start out partial by still being in the learning phase of fulfilled eschatology. I know I was one of them.
