I haven't visited Planet Preterist in a long time. Just went there (it looks different) and can't find the forums. Do they still have them? The link to "Discuss" doesn't work.

Bev Bev, The software for PP is brand new. The new look you saw came up on the 21st, for the first time. Virgil plans to have the forums back up soon, but things don't always go as expected. Blessings.

It's kind of interesting to see how most if not all websites are moving to blog type formats. Individuality and creativity is slowly going the way of the buffalo. At least Allyn is still building his sites from the ground up. 8) I guess the internet is going cookie cutter.

Thanks, Jeff. I didn't realize the change was that new! I'll be patient. :-)
Mike, cookie cutter isn't so bad. It's good for those who don't have the time or skill to build a site from the ground up. I used to design and code my own photography website. With my first one, I used to have to customize a new HTML page for every photo I added, plus modify the index pages each time. A few years later when I redesigned the site, I used frames, which made updating the site with new photos a whole lot easier. Then, a couple years ago, my hosting service offered Gallery2 free. I converted my site to that and have never looked back. It is SO MUCH easier to add photos to the site now. I still haven't converted everything from the old frames site, so I'm running both concurrently. One of these days...
The cookie cutter apps have limitations, but in general, the pros outweigh the cons.
I'm still not used to using a blog format in place of a discussion forum. I don't really think a blog serves the same purpose. I don't think the pros outweigh the cons in that particular case.

I was really surprised that Virgil joined our FB group. He hasn't posted yet, but I do look forward to it when he does. I realize he is probably busy with other projects, but you never know.
