New Puppy - Please Share Tip!

I received a beagle puppy for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and am going thru the trials of training. I have Don Sullivan's DVD on training the perfect dog, but there is not much there about puppies - especially on breaking in with a leash. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Congratulations on your new puppy! How old is he or she?

I've obedience trained a few dogs in my life and generally find it fairly easy to do. If you can find someone in your area who gives obedience classes, that would be the best thing, IMO. It takes some commitment of time every day for awhile.

Most community centers, dog clubs, large pet stores, and some shelters offer inexpensive obedience training.
