This seems to be a big topic among the preterist camps, or those that believe in fulfilled eschatology.
Do you believe we have a immortal body now, or immortal body at death?
Why?
What say Ye?

Well since it is the soul that receives immortality and not the body of flesh, then I would have to say neither IBN nor IBD is looking at this issue correctly. And the CBV view seems to neglect what occurs after the body dies altogether as its focus is on what happens now.

What is CBV? ("B" I assume is body, based on the current discussion)

What is CBV? ("B" I assume is body, based on the current discussion) CBV = Corporate Body View Some are saying that it must be "corporal" body view, but that is not the original usage...I don't know why "view" must be inclused. It is like saying I went to the ABM machine, where "M" stands for machine...repetitive usage...

Yepper, I'm here too mellontes. I'm involved with a lot of preterist boards. I have my own discussion board at Aimoo, and I'm co-owner of a group at FaceBook. I'm also a member at SGP, DID, PD, and Ty Croppers new group, New Jerusalem Ministries to name a few.

Robin, Why do you say the CBV views seems to neglect what occurs after the body dies altogether? I am just going by the discussions I have read, they don't seem to mention much about what occurs upon death. They seem to think we are made immortal now - which I do think is true for the soul. But they only look to a spiritual body for this life - or so it seems.

I just don't think there is much info on the future state after death...and if there was, could it be accurately portrayed in such finite terms that we are tied down to now?
