Good evening. Teaser- "as Israel goes, so goes the Church. Our destinies are inextricably intertwined. Destroy Israel and the Church will soon follow: our mutual survival depends on our mutual, continued existence."Since most of the people here are former dispensationalists, and the real history of the Israel and the Jew may be one link in the changing of those futurist beliefs, I thought you might find this article vivificat1.blogspot.com/2009/11/survival-of-church-is-inextricably.htmland the comments that follow to be interesting. (It isn't a preterist site or article.) I would love the hear what you think. Thanks. Steve

It needs to be approved before it is published so we will see how the tolerance level is. Basically I said that there cannot possible be an observant Jew today because where there is no Temple there can be no sacrifice and where there is no sacrifice there can be no forgiveness. This in itself separates the "observant Jew" from Christianity, but I went on to say that there is one thing the two have in common and that being that most of Christianity is still looking for the Messiah to set up His kingdom just as the so called observant Jew is. I think I made a couple of other observations as well.

About 25 years ago I remember reading in a Catholic newspaper a bishop at the Vatican saying that the Jews of today have absolutely nothing in common with Abraham. Times change.

Thanks bev, although I think what I said is pretty fundamental it may not be to the futurist.

Stephen Sizer is an Anglican vicar serving a small congregation near London. He is probably the leading critic of Zionism, especially Christian Zionism. I highly recommend his writings (books/articles/podcasts) found at www.sizers.com

That would be www.sizers.org , not com. He also has a site at www.stephensizer.com/ . Edit by Admin to remove punctuation from hyper link which caused the hyper link to not work.
