Heavenly Jerusalem. Are we in it now?

Nimrod at CARM came up with a question of which I am wondering how you look at it. Here is the Posting:

Heavenly Jerusalem. Are we in it now?

Hebrews 12:22 "But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering,"

My Bible study today is dealing with Hebrew chapter 12 today. Quite a few people at dispensationalist .
Any suggestions on what thoughts, discussions, questions I can bring up at the study? (There is my question)

They think the Jerusalem from heaven is future and will come down on the earthly Jerusalem and Christ will rule there. Personally, I see no point in Christ from ruling from earth.

Yes!

It included the general assembly and church of the firstborn written in heaven, that dwelt upon the earth the first century and throughout eternity. Specifically those under the new covenant!

Psalm 103:19 The Lord hath prepared his Throne in the heavens; and his kingdom RULETH over all.

I believe the scripture, Psalm 11:14; Psalm 89:35-37; Psalm 93:2; Psalm 132:11 and many others that clearly prove the Lord reigns from his holy temple and throne established in heaven forever (not temporarily).

It was future to THAT 1st century audience...

Isa 25:6-8

And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

and Ye are come to MT ZION!

7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

SIN!!

8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it

SIN to be destroyed and that Old Covenant [Law} done away with

How are we in it today?..We are taken part of that WORLD WITHOUT END!
