In John 11:1-3, the sisters of Lazarus come to Jesus to notify Him of their brother's sickness. Jesus, in John 11:4, plainly tells the women that his "sickness is NOT unto death." John 11:6 tells us that Jesus purposely lingered for two more days in the same place... John 11:14 informs us of Jesus' declaration that "Lazarus is dead." Since we know Jesus is not a liar, what "death" was spoken of in John 11:4, since it is quite obvious that Lazarus did physically die? His rotting corpse is indicative of physical death. John 11:39 states very clearly that Lazarus had been dead for 4 days and his corpse stinks!
