Thats what the word filter does. Its preprogramed but I can fix it. That is a weird assumption on the programmers part

My assumption is Thats what the word filter does. Its preprogramed but I can fix it. That is a weird assumption on the programmers part The poster can overcome it simply by saying "I assume" instead. I see what the filter is censoring out. The words it substitutes for it don't necessarily mean the same thing, though. As a test, I typed a longer and somewhat nasty word using three of those same letters, and the filter returns "not a very nice person." That one is closer in meaning to what was actually typed, just not as crude.

OK, I had already turned off the computer to get ready for church. I was washing my cereal bowl when it came to me. The substitution "I disagree" does indeed mean the same thing as the words it replaces! But it has nothing to do with assumptions. I get it now. Doh!
