Police demolish entire Bedouin village inside Israel

Bethlehem - Ma'an - Two hundred Israeli police raided the Bedouin village of Abdallah Al-Atrash in the Negev desert in Israel at 5:00am on Tuesday, demolished the entire community and forcibly expelled all 20 families living there.
After over six hours, no structures were left standing and all inhabitants were pushed off their land.
Some residents told the Regional Council for Unrecognized Villages in Negev that they plan to sleep amongst the rubble of their demolished homes until new tents can be erected on their land. Others will go live with relatives in another Israeli unrecognized village near Hura.
Concluding a court case begun in 2000, the Israeli government served the residents a demolition and evacuation order four days ago, but provided no alternative location to move to.
The residents, previously expelled from their homes farther west, have been living in Abdallah al-Atrash for 20 years.
Their expulsion came days after the publication of a report by a government-appointed commission recommending the recognition of Negev Bedouin villages east of Route 40. Abdallah al-Atrash lies to the west.
Some 84,000 people live in unrecognized Negev communities which are denied most government services by Israel.


How in the world can a futurist Christian look at this and think that these people are still the "apple of God's eye?" The mind and heart has to be completely cut off from our Savior's words. This is brutal. Is it any wonder that the Muslim world hates Christians?

I'm glad you posted this, Steve. These stories need to be told. Its always those poor Jews kind of stories we hear but yet when they do it its all somehow ok. I did some reading 2 or 3 years ago on the take over of the holy land by the Jews back in 1947-48 and it was just horrible the way the Jews did this. They would go through the Arab villages murdering every household. And these are the supposed choosen of God.

My late father once told me that this country was not doing the right thing defending the modern day nation of "Israel". I cannot say that just anywhere without screams of "anti-Semite" rising, but it has absolutely nothing to do with prejudice against Jews and everything to do with recognizing the difference between what is right and what is wrong.

You and I disagreeing on eschatology, well nothing new.
But I thought that you had the historic knowledge to really see that Israel is not the worst guy in the ME. The arabs should have most of the blame.
Now you participate in Allyn preterist forum where people spew their disliking of Israel. You participate in the same threads but keep quiet, please show some backbone!
You could say it is non-of my business, still you know the truth, and we should all stand up for it.

? - in reality, both sides of the table are equally at fault. In my opinion, the Israeli's should launch a massive attack to quell what is nothing more than a civil war in their own country. On the other hand, the Israeli treatment of Arab citizens is deplorable, not unlike many of the apartheid governments in existance today, and most notably equally with the way the US carried on slavery and the way the WASP organization of this country still treats the general minority population. The probelm is, the minority population is almost 1/2 of the US population now and by 2100, if we survive that long, will become the majority.

I agree with you and many others here, at IMB, and at any other website that Israel has a right to prtect her citizens and prvide a safe place to live, but I strongly disagree with the way Israel treats all those in and around her.

I've deliberately deleted the name of this person so as not to embarrass him. Personally, I don't care who agrees or disagrees with my view/opinion. I've also said this many times before - Israel lost her "spiritual soul" 2000 years ago. Shekinah is gone from her.
