I have been really missing our friendly discussions here. Today, I ventured over to CARM to see if there were any discussions I could get involved in over there. After browsing a little bit in both the Preterist and Trinity forums and seeing the same old-same old, I just couldn't bring myself to get involved. It's just not worth it. I'll wait patiently for things to pick up here again. Hope you all are doing well! We're doing okay here.  |

Shame on me for not being involved enough in my own forum. I have been busy with PTCFE.org, but not so busy that I couldn't slip in.

I hear you. I tried quite some time ago to restart my activity there (I was a member there before joining this place) and I just couldn't. True Christian character is rare there and often just plain infantile. I just pray for those mature Christians that stick with it.
It reminds me of kids playing cops and robbers where one goes "Bang, I got you" and the other yells out "No - You missed. I shot you", except over there it's "I'm right!", "No your not because you haven't got a clue. I'm right". Not much in the way of edifying discussion (but it does exist sometimes).
Of course now we have a one month old baby, coupled with a very busy time for me at both the office and the church, my activity is at an all time low here. They tell me it gets better...

Never had the experience myself, Sheldon, but from what I've heard and witnessed, a new baby becomes pretty much your whole life for awhile. Except when you are at work, but sometimes even there, too.
What a blessing, though. I've never had children, but if I had it all to do over again, I might think differently about it.
