Thanks, Jeff. Though I don't see how covenanted comes from the Hebrew word translated as created. Bev, Look up the Hebrew word for "covenant." It is the noun form of the word translated "create." Or conversely, the Hebrew word translated "create" is the verb form of "covenant." Look through Scripture at the two words translated man. "Adam" was "created" or "covenanted." "Ish" was not. |

But here's an answer from John Wesley that's as good as any: Referring to the beasts and birds, etc., of that verse, Wesley writes: "they were made that man might serve and honour God with them and therefore were destroyed, because he had served his lusts with them, and made them subject to vanity." Still seems to be man's problem, not the beasts or the birds... And I would have to disagree with John Wesley's answer being just as good as any...lol - There are better answers. |
