This country is in serious debt. It's been said that we're out of money, and that every penny of revenue derived from taxes goes to pay the interest on the debt. Yet we have a government that spends, spends, spends, and when they are done spending they spend more. What are they thinking? Do they think we can get out of debt by spending money we don't have? Or don't they care?
Most people in America are in debt themselves. If we do what our government does we would be in big trouble. And yet that's what we need.
What I'm going to suggest is a radical idea. But, with the mess we're in, it's going to take something radical the solve the economic problems we have.
Since the government is already spending money they don't have, I suggest they give the American people the same ability. I suggest the government back a temporary credit system that would allow the American people to have unlimited credit to purchase American made products only, whether it be cars, trucks, air conditioners, refridgerators, etc. When these items are purchased this should create a demand for more, and American factories will be needed to make more. This in turn should create jobs. Then, when everyone who wants a job has one, they will be getting a paycheck. This will create tax revenue that can be applied to the debt created by the government backed credit system.
I call this the "Bailout the American Worker Plan."
The government has been bailing out banks and other financial institutions, and car companies, but as yet haven't done anything for the American worker, and I think it is high time they help the American worker.
